IRON
ROME – ITALY

The Palace of Justice in Rome in Piazza Cavour was created without protective grilles for the 99 huge (h. 630 cm) windows on the ground floor. For safety reasons, it was decided to mount heat-drilled round iron grates with a diameter of 40 mm. The lances were hewn by hand and then forged, meaning each one is different from the others. Special side clamps ensure they are correctly fixed to the masonry.
